Additional Info:

This recording of the cemetery used the published data of Susan Bergeron as a starting point and and added the new stones as well as any nessary corrections.  It also incorporates any data included in the original Wannamaker transcription done in the 1950's as this data likley came from stones that are not legible or have disappeared since.  The Wannamaker data appears under section listed as Other. This is 22 records.

This recording and entry into Cemsearch was done by Ray Waterhouse

Albury Cemetery, located immediately behind the Albury United Church on County Road 3, south side in the village of Albury.

This cemetery was provided by the Peck family in 1834.  It is located on the bay front of Ameliasburgh.  The original church, built of stone, dates back to the 1830s, but was demolished and replaced with a new church in 1898.  There is evidence that the cemetery pre-dates the building of the first church.  The new church was built for worship services for any Protestant denomination, making it the oldest interdenominational church in Ontario.  Prominent names include: Peck (Peack), Sager, Weese and Dempsey.

The following convention has been used in re- recording this cememetery in 2000.

The East section contains the 5 most esterly rows of the cemetery.  This section was not part of the original cemetery.

The Old section is at the rear of the church and includes several rows east of the eastern access road and over to the western access road.

The Western section is located west of the western access road.

The South section is at the rear of the Old section on land that was not part of the original cemetery

Until such time as a photo "Drag and Drop" function has been added to Cemsearch, here is the way to prepare your photos for inclusion in our database:

 • IMPORTANT: FIRST select the person in Cemsearch for whom you want to add a photo, then re-open this help screen.

 • On your computer, locate the file(s) of the photo(s) you want to submit for Harriett Burley.

 • DO NOT make duplicate photos of the same side of a stone for each person shown on it. For example, if husband and wife are both shown on one stone image, DO NOT make two copies of this image; only one is required.

 • For MONUMENT Pictures, do the following:
   • Copy this code: PEAH01440; (MUST include the semicolon)
   • Rename the monument files you previously located by pasting this code as a prefix to each filename.
   • IMPORTANT: The code PEAH01440; is SPECIFIC to ALL people on this stone or plot.

 • For PERSONAL Pictures for JUST this person, do the following:

 • HINT: for convenience, these codes also appear below the Born/Died dates where you can click on them to automatically copy them.

 • ATTACH photos (full size; if you can, limit to about 1-2 megabytes in size) with the prefixed filename to an email and send to: helpus@cemsearch.ca.

 • If you have further details that you would like included in the "Notes" section, add them to the email as well.
