Additional Info:

This cemetery was opened in 1869 but the first burial was in 1871 appx. Records taken from the Union Cemetery records maintained by Michel Cabardos and a transcription done by Rob Mikel and Jim Leonard in 1980. This record was then updated from a site check by the Lakeshore Genealogical Society in the summer of 1995. This cemetery was photographed and updated by Keith Edwards during 2018 and the records were updated from the burial registers by Ron Smith and Paul Morton in January 2019.

Son of Parker Smith Jr. and Rebecca Switzer; married Elizabeth "Betsy" Wilson April 6, 1843; father of Parker, William Henry, George Benson, James Sidney, and John Franklin Smith; brother of Ira and John. Came to C4 L11 Hamilton Township c1840 from Loughborough Township, north of Kingston.
