Born in the Netherlands; came to Canada in 1951. Husband of the late Dirkje for 66 years; father of John, the late Marion, Susan, Peter, Debbie, Michael, Lee-Anne, and the late Mickey; brother of Pieter and the late Jozina and Johannes.
